Basic HTML Tags

  • HTML stands for Hypertext Markup Language. It is the markup language used to create web pages.
  • HTML consists of two contexts, which are head and body. <head> tag is the part where we introduce our title and that contains the internal links. <body> tag is the part that holds the content of the site and that will be shown on the browser
  • In HTML, tags are opened with <> and closed with . However, there are tags like input, image, br, and hr. These tags are opened but they do not have closing tags.
  • The last version of the language is HTML5. HTML is not considered a programming language, because it is not possible to write a program that works on its own by using HTML codes.
